Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, an multi-talented actor director, producer, playwright, educator, and director of drama in St. Thomas University. Anna Silk is the child of a Briton, and an Turkish Cypriot English ex-pat. In her early years Anna appeared in a number of commercials for television. Anna relocated to Toronto in 1999 to Los Angeles in 1999. Anna met Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an actors' training in Los Angeles, and they became engaged in 2009. Anna began her journey to becoming a Jewish woman in 2011, after she converted to Judaism. They got weddings in the month of December that year and then renewed their vows during the Jewish ceremony held in Fredericton, in April 2011.
