Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. Paquin is a native of New Zealand, born in Wellington but born and raised in Winnipeg was first seen in the acting world in The Piano. The actress moved from New Zealand to United States as a teen. Paquin played a minor role in the film's title role when she was just a young girl as part of Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (1996) as well as an important role in the movie Fly Away Home (1996). Paquin was in the role of Frankie Addams, a character from Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997 in which she played the queen of Spain in a smaller role. The actress played teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) and Almost Famous (2000). She also portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
