A mix between reggaeton and pop music came out in 2017 by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. The song has become the most streamed track at that in just 6 months. In 2015, there were two mostly Spanish-language songs on Billboard's Top 100 and in 2016 there were four. The popularity of Despacito reached its peak in the year 2017. In 2020, 41 mostly Spanish songs are expected to make it into the top 100. Justin Bieber re-mixed Despacito with a Spanish version in 2017. In the year following, popular artists began working with reggaeton acts. Drake teamed with Bad Bunny for the production of MIA (2018) as well as Madonna collaborated on Medellin with Maluma (2019). Some reggaeton artists expressed their displeasure at the rise of mainstream music in 2020. A new group, Rauw Alejandro wanted to maintain the growth and evolution of reggaeton. The genre often included elements of electronic dance music as well as other genres.
