As a result of bullying, Tobin did not walk to her graduation. She is an alumna of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy located in New York City from which she graduated in 2007. Tobin's professional life started in Houston with the Theatre Under the Stars Cats production. Tobin was in the role of Etcetera in the cast of ensemble. Her role was as Etcetera the ensemble of Theater Under the Stars' production of West Side Story in Houston that year.
