Zulay Henao, a Colombian/American actress is best known as Esperanza on Oprah Winfrey Network's show If Loved You was a Mistake. She is also known for being in a variety of films, including Illegal Tender Takers Boy Wonder as well as True Memoirs of an International Assassin. When she was just four years old, her family and she moved from Medellin Antioquia, Colombia to the USA. In high school, Henao was as a soldier in the U.S. Army for three years, and then was a student at Methodist College while stationed at Fort Bragg North Carolina. She then studied performing at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. She also worked odd jobs, and started her acting career. In a more personal context she is currently with American actor Joel Rush (born in 1984) since the year 2014. She was also engaged to actor Terrace Howard. The actress is known for television appearances. The television roles she played as Ayla Sayed as an House of Cards reporter during seasons 2 and 3 are the most memorable.
